Wine Spectator, America's foremost wine publication, has for the third consecutive year awarded L’Europe restaurant with Award of Excellence. “This restaurant is honored by Wine Spectator for having one of the most outstanding restaurant wine lists in the world”, the plaque announces. L’Europe has became the sole hotel restaurant in Russia to be included in this prestigious list. Only two Russian restaurants were graced by Wine Spectator.

A formal awards ceremony was held at L'Europe restaurant in the Grand Hotel Europe for participants of the city's fourth Social Responsibility in Government and Business competition, which is held every year by the Doctors for Children social organisation. This year, the competition's commission selected the Grand Hotel Europe as the winner of the Corporate Social Responsibility category.
