The hotel's 8 Historic Belle Chambres are distinguished for retaining the generous spaces and classical style of nineteenth century. The rooms have parquet floors, spacious seating areas with armchairs and a sofa, and large windows facing onto historic Nevsky Prospekt - all of which contribute to their extraordinarily light and airy ambiance. The furnishings of the Belle Chambres are antique and feature period reproduction pieces. The rooms range in size from 31 to 45 square meters.
The 9 Historic Classic Suites vary considerably in size and layout, but all share the historic features that were carefully restored during the hotel's renovation. Antique furniture is used throughout, with the colour and style of the decor reflecting the elegance and dignity of turn-of-the-century Tsarist Russia. All of the suites comprise of an entrance hall, lounge, bedroom, bathroom and an additional guest washroom. The suites range in size from 37 to 45 square meters.
The 2 Historic Executive Suites are all furnished with a double bed and range in size from 50 to 60 square meters. Their spacious living rooms provide ample room for entertaining. Additional amenities include a stereo system and a video recorder. Executive Suites have accommodated figures of international stature, including several heads of state as well as many notable artists, business leaders, entertainers and other celebrities. Each of the suites comprises an entrance hall, guest bathroom, an anteroom and a master bedroom with en suite bathroom.
All rooms are equipped with a safe, air conditioning and a fax modem line. The bathrooms are beautifully appointed with marble floors, a hairdryer and underfloor heating.
Butler Service
The irrefutable advantage of staying in Historic Rooms is the opportunity to use the services of a personal butler. A butler is a direct link between guests and all the hotel’s services. If a guest wishes to order dinner in their room, purchase theatre tickets or get a shirt laundered, they simply press the button on a special device in their room and the butler will immediately arrive. Whilst showing guests to their room, the butler can tell them about the history of the city and the hotel, about cultural events and nightlife in the city, about the features of the decor and technical facilities of the rooms and about the hotel’s many restaurants. The main task of the butler is to provide maximum comfort for guests. | | |
